ATI 11 freezes when I select a tib file to restore
I have some backups of my C: drive stored on another hard drive within the PC. I attempted to restore one of these backups and found that the whole system freezes as soon as I select the tib file. I have tried several attempts all with the same result. After checking other comments on the forum, I have checked the verification of the tib files, these come back as OK. the files were created using ATI 11 This is the first time that I have attempted to restore my C: drive. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what next to try.

MudCrab,
Thanks for the speedy reply. My version is 8053 and I was using it when booted into the CD. What I have just realised is that I was using my ATI 10 Home Disk to boot from as the puter would not boot from my ATI 11 boot disk. Perhaps I had best try to create a new boot disk and try to carry out the restore. I do not have an original ATI 11 disk as that version was downloaded from the web and upgfraded by the Acronis tech helpdesk. Am I allowed to download the latest build of ATI 11 and upgrade my version using my original licence or have I got to start all over again and re-install WinXP et al.

TI 10 can't work with TI 11 or later images. The "freezing" is a common result.
You can use your original TI 11 license to upgrade to the latest build of TI 11. It shouldn't be a problem. If the license is a upgrade (from TI 10, for example), make sure to have the previous serial number handy too. (You may not be asked for a serial number since you already have TI 11 installed.)
Another option (if you don't want to change the installed TI right now) would be to contact Acronis Support (Live Chat is probably the quickest method) and see if they will provide you with a link to the latest TI 11 ISO file. You can then create a current CD without needing to install the update.
