ATI 2010 (newest build) makes Full Size Backup, althougt planned inkremental or differencial Backup

Thread needs solution

Hello

I've installed the newest build on two systems (W 7 / Vista). But on both systems ATI 2010 NEVER makes an inkremental or differencial backup, althought I mark this in the Task menu. I get only Full Size Backups ever. That means, I'm not sure, if the result is an incremental or a full backup, but the size of the backup is ever exactly the same size like the full backup (Full backup is 80 GB, ''incremental'' or ''differencial'' backup is 80 GB too.
On one System (Vista) there is no defragmential tool installed, but the Vista-Defragmentation is active. On the W 7 System I habe O&O Defrag 12 installed.
Previously I used ATI 11 and I never had this Problem! Everything worked perfectly.

Please tell me, what I'm doing wrong or if this is a Problem of ATI 2010.
Thanks!

Hello Karl,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

Please perform the below steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1) Please disable built-in defragmentation. Please type "defrag" in the Start/Search box and choose "Disk Defragmenter".

Un-check the box "Run on a schedule", wait for the new archive to be created and see if the issue remains. If the issue still persists, please do the following:

2) Please create a new task (don't touch the created task, i.e. don't edit it even without implementing any changes).

Create backups and compare the size.

3) If the issue remains, please check the disks for errors:

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r"
where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that
checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

If the issue still persists, please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach the file to your next post. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.

This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
