ATI 2011 Power Pack Creation fails

Thread needs solution

I just finished creating the boot disk for Power Pack Plus -- but it won't boot.

No errors while creating, but I get an error that snapman.sys is missing or corrupted.

So now what do I do to fix this? Is it just "faulty disk writing"? If so, why didn't I get any error message during the process? Unless I know what the heck happened, I can't know that it is fixed.

Try starting the plus pack install program again and choose the repair option.

From a cd creation, the plus pack is nothing more than an additional feature on the standard 2011 Rescue CD. No new features added to the menu selection of the cd.

Create a 2011 Rescue CD and it should boot into Acronis. The help/about option will provide visual evidence as to its presence.

Grover, why didn't the "Help" say just that...as you did? Would've saved me a couple hours trying to find the missing file, figure out what to do, fall on my butt half a dozen times...

Then they could have said: "But for tose of you that like things the hard way, here you go:...."

Silly me...

Thanks,
Chuck

You learn better if you have experienced the situation.

I don't get where the "snapman.sys" error came from. TI doesn't use that on the CD so it wouldn't be part of the building process. It also woudn't affect the booting of the CD. Was this error from installing the PP?
