ATI 2012 hangs on startup on Sync Tab

Hi,

I used the Sync feature of ATI 2012 once, and it didn't work, so I ignored it, but now yesterday, when I started ATI 2012, it opened the corresponding tab and tried to log on to Acronis server. And that just stays there forever and the software stops responding. I can't cancel, I can't change to a different tab, I just can kill the app after waiting for as long as my patience holds. I tried again today, same effect.

Uninstalling the Sync Agent and restarting seems to at least bring the "normal" functionality of ATI back, but Sync is completely useless that way for me.

Can it be possible that the sync agent is implemented without a timeout if the login to Acronis servers does not work? Or is the sync agent simply broken?

Of course my 2 week free support just ended yesterday, so the forum is for now my first stop for help on this.

Any comments appreciated.

Actually after testing nothing beyond uninstalling and reinstalling helps.

Anyone else with this experience?
