ATI 2014 Backup Mounts but won't allow me to recover it

Thread needs solution

Acronis 2014 True Image installed on Win 7 SP1

Generated a Full Disk Backup to External USB HD ... This image Mounts and passes a chkdsk ... however ... when I browse for the tib file to recover, for some unknown reason ATI 2014 won't add this file to it's backup list ... this appears to be the only way this version of Acronis will recover images???

This backup was done prior to allowing Windows to migrate to version 10 ... as numerous applications I use failed to function properly in Windows 10, I rolled it back to Windows 7 ... this Roll Back while saying it was successfull messed up my VM's and Network settings  ... I was fully expecting my ACRONIS BACKUP to get me back up and running ... very frustrating

Is there another way to force ATI to recover this backup?

Terry, welcome to these user forums.

Please sign in to your Acronis Account and download a copy of the Acronis bootable Rescue Media as an ISO (CD image file) and burn this to a CD, if you don't already have a copy of the latest rescue media version.

Boot from the CD rescue media and attempt the recovery from there - you should not do this from within Windows.
