ATI 2014 - Suddenly can't get to list of drives to back up from bootable disc

I've been using ATI 2014 with a bootable disk to back up my drives. It's worked great until now.

ATI boots up from the disc, but after I click Back Up or My Disks from the Backup tab (can't recall exactly what it says), nothing happens. After a couple of minutes the bootable disc stops spinning and that's it. I can't do anything else, except press and hold the power button to shut down.

This is a Dell desktop, Win 7, Dell RAID card with two mirrored drives, but nothing has changed, and this has worked for more than a year.

The same bootable disc works perfectly in my laptop, so I don't think it's the bootable disc. Nothing has changed in my hardware. This all worked three months ago (and for more than a year), but now now.

I've run checkdisk. Disks are defragged.

How can I get this working?
