ATI 2015 no longer reliable for me

Thread needs solution

I've been using True Image for 10 years and have never decided against using it until now.

I recently backed up my files to move to a new computer. I restored my old C drive to an alternate location on a large drive but it missed large numbers of files. It just seems to stop transferring the contents of a given directory and moves on to the next one; i.e. it stops after "N" and didn't continue with sub-directories starting with O through Z in one example. I have to keep going back to the original backup whenever I find something is missing.

The "D" drive was a larger drive. After leaving it restoring overnight to an alternate location it was still only about 10% complete with over a day estimated to be remaining. It didn't take nearly that long to back up. I couldn't mount the backup since it wasn't a whole drive backup but I could still open the backup's contents in windows explorer. The new problem was that it will often do nothing at all when I try to drag and drop or copy/paste a directory. Generally this is if there is a large amount of data. After doing this and repeatedly trying to grab smaller selections of files it stopped working. Memory use on my PC was about 24GB in excess of what it should have been even after I closed everything including the True Image services.

I purchased a license for my server but performance was so bad I removed TI and went back to the Windows Backup.

I am really disappointed with True Image and no longer feel I can rely on it for backups.

I'm using the current build at this time. Acronis True Image 2015 for the PC build 6525.
