ATI 2015 officially released with built 5539....... What an insult !

Thread needs solution

Oh my god.....

Acronis has just released ATI 2015 officially with built nr 5539, the same built as the intial release from september 16th ?!
Does this mean, that they ignore all the complaints, what's written in this forum until now ?!

I give them 2 weeks to prove themselves to provide a better built, because after that I am going to claim my refund and switch over to Paragon or AX64 Time machine....

Bye bye Acronis, if you don't deliver..... (said by a long time acronis user with 17 registered licenses !!!)

Yes unfortunately (for Acronis), they have successfully accomplished a backfire situation with their customers of late. The daily "marketing" nag-message about TI2015 on everyone's PCs, coupled with what appears to be a very problematic 2015 upgrade, has been a disaster for them IMO. It is a shame that Acronis seems to have lost perspective on how to delight the customer. They have instead reverted to aggravating customers in ways that will drive some straight into the hands of competing companies.

I used to look forward to seeing what Acronis would develop next, but that has changed now. I have typically avoided moving to a brand new release of any software product unless it appeared to be solid and a good value. TI 2015 has absolutely no appeal for me (from what I'm reading about it). Unfortunately, Acronis as a company is losing appeal to me as well (i.e. daily nagware and unsatisfactory support response to same). They have seriously lost some perspective on how customers want to be treated IMO.

So, all they have accomplished with me (a very long-time customer) is to encourage me to look at competing Backup solutions from other companies. TI 2014 will likely be my last Acronis product across all my machines (personal and work).

What alternatives does anyone recommend?

When Acronis first appears it was a delight, much better than competitors. But they keep trying to "improve it". For most of us it is just imaging software and we don't want to learn a new interface etc. I spent time looking how to mount an image and that is simply left out. Right now I can't mount at all.

Wow... I expected Acronis to come out swinging with an apology of some sort and a new build with a fixed feature set. This is just business suicide by Acronis, and after 8 great years with them I am just stunned. I guess this will be bye bye for the majority of loyal users.

TI 2014 is working for me (daily), so there isn't anything wrong with that product or staying on it. I have began researching competing imaging/backup products in case I decide to abandon Acronis altogether. I won't mention the names of those competing products here out of respect, but will simply say there are other quality choices for software of this nature. Acronis should know that and work a lot smarter to retain customers IMO.

I'm concerned that Acronis is hounding me everyday about upgrading, and about the potential that they may do it again in the future. Whoever thought that one up made a colossal marketing mistake. Bugging people (daily) right on their PC screens is a turn-off and lots of customers expressed displeasure with it. Acronis Support told me that the nag-messaging would stop after the product is released, so I'll see. I feel that Acronis should have stopped "pushing" it daily to customers when they realized it had gone beyond a friendly news message. I'm going to see if the daily pop-up messages continue, and if I have to manually setup "blocks" on my Firewall to prevent Acronis from bugging me. That should not ever be required of a customer that is supposed to be "valued". If I have to setup "firewall blocks" to control Acronis, that will pretty well do it for me with them as a company. It is a silly and unnecessary action for a customer to have to take, just because of an "upgrade campaign".

Yes, Acronis owes everyone an apology and more importantly should have reacted "proactively and positively" to this whole thing with TI 2015.

I'm extremely disappointed. Acronis has been great value for money for years. The loss of the ability to delete selected backups without starting from scratch is a huge step backward. I went back to True Image 2014 and I'm continuing to use it. If Acronis doesn't come out with some major fixes for 2015 I will reluctantly have to find other imaging software.

The nag pop-up still appeared on Wednesday, the day after the official release. Honestly, if Acronis says it should stop after the official release, that by itself means it is a deliberate promotional campaign. I think however that there is some sloppy code writing involved, which they need to fix, and that may take some time... (if it happens at all).

For heaven's sake Acronis, do something to address the many deficiencies in this product. It is pretty close to unusable thanks to the constant appearance of a black screen where the interface should be. And what is the point of a back-up program from which you can restore your files?
I have worked in IT since the late 1980s, and I can honestly say I can hardly recall a worse upgrade than this, and believe you me, I have seen some really bad ones.
For what it is worth, I like the new interface - when it does occasionally emerge from its "black hole"

I've finally had it with Acronis. This is the poorest substitute for a reliable backup solution I've ever seen. Let me just address two issues:

1. User Interface: Do they assume we're all just stupid? Of course. They have dumbed down the UI until it's just not even usable. And, of course, their ripoff of my solution for "Waterfall" backups (which I posted in relation to ATI 9, and they implemented it as Pre- and Post-commands) is just as miserable and unreliable as ever.

2. The "Exclusions" list makes the assumption that you don't want to have any of your browsing history or application configuration information...AND YOU'RE NOT PERMITTED TO DELETE ANY OF THEIR SELECTIONS! (or at least so far as the on-line or PDF help say).

I have used only Drive Snapshot (http://drivesnapshot.de/en/index.htm) for my own systems for several years, and I will now begin migrating my clients to the same, cheap, reliable, BUG-FREE backup solution. I have lots of ATIH 2010, '12 and '14 clients that I was hoping would be able to upgrade to ATIH 2015...but this product is just too horrible to foist off on them, and would raise my support costs enough to make me shudder.

Acronis: TrueImage Home 2015 is just so poorly implemented, the GUI is so asinine, and support so pathetic, you've lost me forever. If others of you want to contact me, feel free to email me at caogdin at "google's mail".

Well I am still getting the nagging screen to upgrade to ATI 2015. They got no chance UNLESS they fix all the bugs in ATI2015 , give customers what they want, Trouble free installation and backup and a UI that works and displays properly. After all the horror problem threads about ATI 2015 , Acronis has got no chance in getting more money from me to upgrade to ATI2015 from ATI2014.

I am looking for another provider of suitable hassle free backup software, while i await acronis to fix all the problems and give the customers what they want.

haha, what a joke.... Releasing an update as the same built number, and no changes...
I'm using AX64 Time machine for now, and I am happy with it..
Trying out this software was the biggest mistake I've ever made..

And esp... closing another thread by them, and removing a lot of negative comments...
Pretty said, that they cannot even explain or give us a reason..

I thought I was the only one disappointed with a piece of software that should never have been released. I too have been a happy Acronis customer since 2011, but no more. I installed Acronis 2015 on two of my computers--a brand new Cybertron with Windows 8.1 and a three year old desktop with Windows 7 Professional. Thank goodness I did not install it on my laptop, which is the only computer that's running at peak efficiency. My Windows 7 computer is dead in the water. I can't boot it with an Acronis Rescue disk and it doesn't respond to F11. No one by me knows how many productions hours I've lost and the financial cost is in the thousands. I had an e-mail that said, "Tell us what you think." I did, and it's been weeks, and if you guessed that I never heard back, you're right. I really don't think Acronis can recover its loyalty base after this disaster. I have applied for a refund. Let's see if I get it.

Seems to me also that ATI 2015 is way to bug'ed, it even crashed when i ran the program
using help and about to see the build number.

Sorry to say but ATI 2015 need to be fixed, i also had other crash with it.... it is to unstable
even freeware do perform better.... !
