ATI 2015 won't save email smtp port and encryption

Thread needs solution

I want to save email notification settings for my backups but ATI2015 won't save the port or the encryption type for the smtp server. It saves the other settings but not those two.

Selecting 'save as default' does not help.

Is this a bug?

You can try using the operations/clone settings option and clone an existing task which has the options saved, and then edit to change the clone to whatever other changes needed.

Duh.....my goof......hitting 'Ok' on the options screen , but forgetting 'Save' on the backups screen.

It is FAR from obvious. I just did the same thing, adding email notification 3 days in a row and finding that it kept getting cleared. You have to hit OK, and even though you think that should be it, it isn't. You then have to hit the sadly understated little save button down on the bottom right.

Good job on the UI redesign, folks! This is SOOO much better than 2014. :-/

Maybe someday they'll fix a separate (and equally incomprehensible) failure in 2015 and add the backup history and Windows event log integration back into the product. These are still in there somewhere, because you can see this info in the System Report XML dump. But apparently some genius decided that users don't really care about little things like...oh...knowing if their backups ran.

It looks like somebody over at Acronis needs to be slapped.
