ATI and Windows 10

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded from ATI 2014 to 2016, and I don't like it one bit.  My primary reason for the upgrade was to move to Windows 10, as I find that the new UI is horribly difficult to find what I'm looking for. I also cannot find the logs, and it appears that the logs have been removed from the UI, and reading them in a text viewer is HORRIBLE.  Can someone confirm that 2013 will not work with Windows 10?

Either way, I fear that I've made a grave mistake giving Acronis my money.

Hello Les,

If you have had a read through the various forums, in particular the ATIH 2016 Forum, then you will see that there are many users who have commented on the dumbed down interface and removal of direct easy access to logs from the same. These issues have been raised in the MVP forum with the Acronis development team who are listening and trying to understand how they might respond in a future version of the product.

In ATIH 2016 there are two methods of getting to the logs, the simplest is to enable Notifications which will attach a copy of the log for a task to an email message in a user friendly presentation.  The alternative, as it sounds you have already discovered, is to browse to the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs folder and open the log XML files in a standard text editor.

With regards to using ATIH with Windows 10, then my understanding is that you need either the 2015 or 2016 versions to work correctly.
