ATI bootable disk does not find usb hdd

Thread needs solution

I created an image with ATI 11 and saved it to a usb hard drive.

I then needed to restore from this image so used the bootable cd. However, while TI boots up, when the restore wizard gets to the screen asking for the backup image location, the hard drive does not show up. I click on the 'my computer' left hand side of the window but just get the timer for ever. Is there a way to fix this? Should I just wait longer for TI to find the usb drive?

thanks

Are you using the latest build of TI 11 (8,101)?

Have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the Read Before You Post thread?

Hello all,

David, let me help you with the issue.

First of all, please try the workaround suggested by MudCrab, most likely it'll help you. If the issue still persists, I've sent you a special ISO image of Acronis bootable media that is based on the different bootloader.

Please burn that image to a CD as described at this KB article, boot off the created CD and check if it detects your hard drive.

Please reply to this thread if there will be any further questions.

Thank you for the assistance, Mudcrab.
