"ATI has not been installed" ?!?!

Thread needs solution

I just installed build 6053 of TI 2010 upgrade. Install went fine. When I click on the icon or the file TrueImageLauncher.exe, I get an error immediately: Acronis True Image has not been installed. Huh?!?! Anyone have a fix for this problem? I suppose I'll try a reinstall. thorne

UPDATE - I did a "repair" of the install. The repair succeeded (it made me close the sole Windows Explorer process!). When I ran TI I was prompted for the current serial number and the previous serial number which did not happen when I first installed. Now TI 2010 upgrade works... or at least starts up. Fingers crossed.

Your program start menu should point to

"C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImage.exe"

Did you have prior version of 2010 installed or is this a fresh install?

If you are installing over the top of a prior install, was the prior install a 2010 version?

If the 2010 is an upgrade from 2009, you will be asked for the new serial number during the install.

TI did not get installed into Program Files. It was installed into Program Files (x86) (I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64) and there was no TrueImage.exe. I had to do a "repair" of the install to get TrueImage.exe. Strange.

TI 2010 is an upgrade from TI 2009 which was also an upgrade. thorne
