ATI Home 2010 Beta Expiry
I currently have ATI Home Version 11 (Build 8101) and Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) on my laptop. I want to replace the hard drive. I understand that to do this I should use ATI Home 2010, since this is compatible with W7. I have downloaded the Beta Version, ready to instal over my ATI Version 11.0
My question is twofold:
1. Will the Beta Version remain active until ATI 2010 goes on sale? (I read somewhere that the Beta Version is due to expire early October???). If not, what happens to my protection using W7 when the Beta 2010 no longer works and I can't buy it?
2. When ATI 2010 comes on sale, will I be able to upgrade from ATI Version 11 or will I have to pay full cost?
Many thanks
P

Well, I haven't been able to instal ATI 2010 (it keeps coming up with an error message seemingly relating to C++).
I bit the bullet and cloned the disk using Acro 11, and have installed the cloned disk as my primary drive - with WOndows 7 as the OS and Acro 11. It worked brilliantly (as evidenced by the fact that I am on here now !)
So I guess kudos to Acronis for the fact that it all worked with ATI 11.0. A brickbat that I couldn't download 2010 - I actually am trying tospend money with them, but they are making it difficult to do! Why would I upgrade to 2009 (which is stated not to be compatible with W7) and why would I struggle wioth ATI 2010 when it doesn't instal smoothly with standard W7.
I assume they would like me to spend money on upgrading to 2010 when it comes out??? If so, they need to smarten up their 2010 act :)

See my earlier post. I was advised by Acronis support staff the release date is SEPT 16th 2009.

I learned a long time ago not to trust any dates (or "time estimates") released or mentioned by Acronis support. Even what they told you was inaccurate since they released it before the 16th.
