ATI sees an unamed partion: FAT16
First of all, I'm very impressed with ATI 13. I had a much older version and was nervous about upgrading- thinking the install might not go well, having seen such problems with upgrading other software. But the uninstallation of the older program and install of 13 went very smooth. I've been reading and re-reading the manual and I'm blown away with the power of this program.
So, a minor curiousity: if I view the partitions from within ATI, it sees (on my Dell 9200 with Vista) the boot drive "C", a Recovery drive "D" and..... an "unamed partion" which is identified as a FAT16 type with .1 gig. I don't know what that is- it doesn't show up within Vista's "My Computer". I realize that hidden partitions exist for various reasons beyond my technical talent- but I'm curious if this was something installed by Dell at the factory, or possibly installed by ATI?
Oh, I bought the family pack so that I can run the program on a very old Dell - to learn it without fear of messing up my newest Dell. The old Dell had a small drive, so I bought a new drive, did a full backup to an external drive and prayed that ATI could install the new drive and do the full recovery, believing that SOMETHING would go wrong- but NOTHING went wrong- it was a piece of cake. I'm very impressed! I need to feel confident that I can do this on my newest Dell which I use every day for my home business.
