ATI: Tasks and Log

Thread needs solution

Hi

In ATI 2010 I had defined many planned tasks, incremental and full, storage on the same computer, but most of them on other computers in the LAN network.
I have now upgraded to ATI 2013. Before setup I was asked to uninstall the old version.

1. When I now start ATI 2013 I only can find one single task. How can I restore the other ones?
2. This task (incremental) only shows a Recover button. How do I start the backup?

Thanks

It is better for you to create new tasks.

The 2013 version is completely different (almost no comparison except for the bootable CD) from the 2010 version.

I believe you would benefit by review the link below and set up your full+incremental task as shown if figure 11-Inc.
The figure 11-full is applicable if you want full backups only. The figure 11-Dif is applicable if you want full+differential

Once a backup task has been created, the task can be executed to create a backup either by
1. A schedule. or
2. Clicking the "Backup Now" option. or
3. Having the task create a desktop shortcut and initiate the backup by clicking the desktop shortcut.

Do create a new tasks and point each task to an empty storage destination sub-folder.

Also suggest you read this link.

Thanks very much for detailed support as well as for your excellent tutorials, Grover.

As to my actual problem: Is there no possibility to export all my tasks from the old (2010) version and import them into the new (2013) version? This woul help avoiding a lot of work.

Thanks
Walter

Unfortunately the ability to export tasks didn't appear in TIH until the second build of 2011.

You could try copying the task script files from 2010 into the 2013 script folder, but I have a feeling 2013 won't recongise them.

The task files have a tis suffix they will be found;

Windows XP: Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts
Windows Vista, Windows 7: ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

Thanks for the hint, Colin. I'll try it and report here.
