ATI2010 b5055 - Unable to Mount Images

Thread needs solution

ATI2010 b5055. Dell Inspiron Desktop. Windows XP Pro SP3. Image files stored on an external WD500GB USB 2.0 HD.

Uninstalled ATI2009 with ADD/REMOVE control panel. Installed ATI2010. Install was successful. Created bootable rescue CD. Registered product.

I tried to mount an image made with ATI2009 using the newly installed ATI2010. ATI 2010 message is "Cannot assign a drive letter to the image" (the image validated successfully with both 2009 and 2010).

Booted from the newly created rescue CD and created an image of the disk. Operation completed successfully and validated using the rescue CD.

Restarted computer. Launched ATI2010. Newly created image validated successfully but ATI again cannot assign a drive letter.

Everything seems to work well except mounting an image. This was not a problem for me in 2009. Any ideas?

Here's a quick follow-up. It seems the images are indeed mounting even though ATI is giving me the message that it can't assign a drive letter. I assumed because of the message that the drive didn't mount. I never checked My Computer. Tried it again with the same message but the drive is showing up. Small bug that hopefully will be corrected down the road.
