ATI2010- How to recover an image on a network drive via recovery manager?

Thread needs solution

Running ATI2010 on Win 7 64 bit. I have no problem creating an image on my networked drive, nor accessing that when in the windows environment, however, how do I access that image if I need to boot via recovery manager? When I boot via the recovery disk, I can easily access external USB drives, but not my network drive.

Most likely, the Linux-based TI CD doesn't have the correct NIC drivers.

Are you using the latest build of TI 2010 (6,053)?

Have you tried a CD created from the ISO download available from your Acronis account? It may have more updated drivers.

Thank you for responding!
Yes, I am using the latest build (6053)

I am thinking that the boot cd does recognize my nic, because it does successfully show the network address?

However, I am not at all familiar with this...When you say create a cd off the ISO download available from my Acronis account...I can see my Acronis account, how do I get an ISO? Do I need to send a report of my system to Acronis?

Here is a post showing where the bootable media download (ISO) should be.

Is the "network drive" a NAS or is it a share? There have been some problems with TI properly detecting NAS drives. If it is a NAS, it may help if you post the brand and model being used.

Can TI successfully browse/connect to standard network shares?

It is a NAS, a Western Digital World Book drive, connected to my router. I know this will sound very dumb...but what do you mean when you ask if TI can connect to standard network shares? Please pardon my ignorance...

Gotcha' on the ISO...I'll download it and check it out, thanks!

"Standard network shares" was referring mostly to Windows shared folders, but would also include any WHS shares, Linux shares, etc. Basically, any shared folders on a computer instead of a NAS.

If you only have one computer on the network, you obviously wouldn't have any computer shares available when booted to the TI CD.

I get it. No, although i have other computers on the network, I don't have any file-sharing set up, just the WD NAS.

I did download and burn the ISO, but that did not give me any more/better options than the boot media. Although I can live with this, not being able to re-image from the NAS in case of a catastrophic failure is a real "negative"...I hope that there is some way to accomplish this.
