ATI2012 and Online Backup

Thread needs solution

I was a happy ATI2009 user (using Windows XP Home SP3).
Then, I upgraded to ATI2012.

I am trying out the online backup option (besides the usual full/incremental backups to the local disk), and I *think* it is backing up some of the files and directories I specified/configured to your online/cloud, but I can't easily see a status of where it is at in the process.

I tried to download and install the Acronis True Image Online installer, but it doesn't like ATI2012:

"The following products are incompatible with the one you are going to install. Uninstall these products manually and then restart installation.
Acronis True Image Home 2012 15.0.6154"

In the logs, I see unhappy messages like:

"Failed to create the snapshot"
"No Windows libraries"
"Failed to peek data from the SSL connection"
"Request timeout has expired" (after 9 attempts to resend an upload request)
"Error occurred while writing the file"
"Unlocking is not supported by the file stream"
"Operation has been stopped"

I am also evaluating iDrive, and Iozeta (LiveDrive), for my online backup solution, and I thought ATI would be the logical choice since I already use ATI.

Your "under $5 per month for 250GB" is probably the best deal around right now, but I need to get the backup effectively working before I can even consider ATI online backup.

It shows overall progress/status, but I can't tell which files have been backed up and which ones haven't.

After using ATIH2012 for a while and working through a number of issues (both here and with Tech Support), I've decided to revert to ATIH2009:

It works as expected, and meets my needs. And I'm using a 3rd-party online backup provider to store my encrypted .tib files in the Cloud.

My decision to revert to an older version was due solely to the product (ATIH2012) and not based on the quality of support/services I received (and they did go to great extents to help). Maybe 2013 will be better :)

I'm getting that same error. My account shows that my online subscription is active, but Acronis HI 2012 says I do not have an online subscription.

And then trying to use the online installer tells me that it is incompatible with 2012.

This is going to be a short-lived experiment, I think. There are lots of on-line backup services out there.
