ATI2014 Premium updated with bootable media problem
Hi.
I´m using ATI 2014 Premium updated (build 6614), and created a Bootable Media on my pendrive.
After that, I started my Bootable disk on my desktop computer and worked fine. After that, I started the same bootable disk on my notebook, but instead of working, it seems to be a problem. While on my Desktop I could see the images of the bootable disk, on my Notebook the images are distorted.
It seems to be a problem with UEFI, but my Notebook isn´t running UEFI. Installed Windows 8.1 under Bios mode.
Now with the final release of Windows 8.1, I get the same problem.
Can you tell me why does it happen ?
The first two images are booting from my desktop and the other two are booting on my notebook.

The same happened with build 5551 and with ATI 2013.
How do I set this parameter ?

Your images shows that the problem is in boot record in your notebook/desktop , and nothing with Acronis TI.
ATI is alright.

On my desktop it works fine. The problem is with the Notebook. And I don´t think so that the problem may be the boot record, because after showing the problem, I made a LLF with my HHD and reinstalled Windows 8.1. And it is still the same.
Why do you think that the problem is with the boot record ?

Karl take a look at your notebook's Video setting in the BIOS, and increase the memory allocation to it if possible.
That was the solution for me in a couple of similar instances i.e. video corruption of the type you showed.

Thanks, but there is no option to change memory allocation for video settings in the Bios.

It seems be a problem with UEFI boot loader.
I made a workaround (Linux grub4dos and Bootice) and now it works on my laptop. I hope Acronis will solve this issue with the recovery media.

Hi.
I´m using now the latest version of ATI 2014 Premium and the problem still persists with the USB recovery media.
Now, I created a bootable media and burned it to my USB stick with X-Boot (Linux based), and the bootable media works.
Why this program works only with third party software, and still has the problem shown in the first post?
Thanks in advance.

What application did you use to burn the recovery media that did not work?

I create the bootable media with ATI2014. I didn´t save the ISO, but created and burned it to my USB stick with ATI.
The problem is that the recovery tool starts on my laptop. And when I run it on my desktop the program works if I use a wired mouse. But when I try to run the bootable media with a wireless mouse, the program doesn´t start.

How do you created bootable media on pendrive.
Can you please give steps to create bootable media on pendrive while creating backup ?

a b,
Does TI see your pendrive when in Windows as a drive that can contain an image? If it doesn't then the only thing you can do is run the recovery environment from it.
This will depend on the make and firmware used in your pendrive as not all USB sticks report themselves to Windows the same way. Some show up as a removable hard drive others as removable media, this make a difference as to how Windows sees them and following on form that how TI sees the drives.

The bootable Media is created and burnt with ATI 2014 Premium.
I don´t have any problems with the USB stick. The problem is when I use the USB stick with the bootable media created from ATI 2014, that the wireless mouse doesn´t work. And I want to know why?
With a wired mouse it is everything ok.

TI not seeing pen drive when in Windows as a drive that can contain bootable media .
Before it used to, but not now.
I have cleaned pen drive but no success. Because of this TI cannot create Bootable media in this pen drive while creating Backup.
