ATI2017 Installation failed, cause there was an older Version ATI 2009

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I installed ATI Home 2009 on my PC with OS WIN7 and never used.

After upgrade to OS WIN 10x64 I buyed ATI 2017 (yesterday !) and would like to install ATI2017 on my PC.

The Installationprocess beginns correctly after startet the execute Programfile ATI2017, the files will decapsulated and after a few seconds the Installationprocess will be interrupted by Failure: " Please deinstallation of Acronis True Image Home (version 12.0.9646.4) ans try again. Or contact the Support"

Before installation ATI2017 I tried to deinstall ATI Home 2009 with the Cleanup Utility  by the following article https://kb.acronis.com/content/48668.

There was no match in the registry KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

upper and lower filter .

Fact: I am looking for a Deinstallation-Tool for the Version Acronis True Image Home (version 12.0.9646.4).

Thanks an greetings

Fabian

Fabian, welcome to these user forums.

Acronis used to provide several different versions of the Cleanup Tool which in turn covered different versions of the product, but recently they have updated the Knowledgebase to point all references to the Cleanup Tool to just the very latest version which you have already tried using, but which only is announced as covering from ATIH 2010 to 2017 versions, not your 2009 version.

I would recommend opening a Support Case directly with Acronis for this particular issue given the lack of a cleanup tool for ATIH 2009.

Please check that you do not have either the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (ASRM) or the Acronis Secure Zone (ASZ) activated on your system, plus that you are not using the Acronis Extended Capacity Disks utility.
