ATIH 2010 I can backup but not restore the Unallocated space

Thread needs solution

Hi,

With ATIH V. 10 I did not have any problem to restore the My Primary Partition and the Unallocated space

The steps:

  1. A Clean, HDD
  2. Using ADD V. ADD V. 11 latest build I initialize the volume Disk 1, which of course is ununtialized
  3. Click on Initialize: Partition scheme: MRB, Type: Basic
  4. The volume is now: Disk 1 (MRB) Unallocated, the capacity of the unallocated space is 149.1, this HDD size is 149.05
  5. Click on Commit pending Operatios
  6. Click on Create Volume, selecting Volume Type: Basic
  7. Select the Volume: Disk 1 (MRB), Unallocated Capacity: 149.1 GB
  8. When I have to specify the size of the volume being created: File System: NTFS; Cluster Size: Auto, Volume type: Primary, Volume size: 139 GB, Unallocated space before volume: 0 bytes, Unallocated space after volume: 10 GB
  9. Click on Finish, Click on Commit pending Operations, Task: Volume type: Basic, Hard Disk: 1, Offset: 1 GB, Volume Size: 139 GB, Basic volume properties: Primary, Drive letter: none, File System: NTFS, Volume label:, Cluster Size: 4 KB
  10. Volume: Local Volume. Capacity 139 GB, Volume: Free Space, Capacity 139 GB, Volume: Type: Primary MRB, Volume: File System, Capacity NTFS, Volume: Unallocated, Capacity 10 GB.
  11. Volume: Unallocated, Capacity: 10 GB
  12. Select Local Volume, Click on Mark as Active, Click on Change Label, Click on Exit

Windows XP Install

152625 MB Disk 0 at id 0 on atapi [MRB] C: Partition1 [NTFS 142384] MB < 142315 MB free > Unpartionated space 10240 MB <---Here are the 10 GB I want to backup

Select C: Partition1, Leave the current file system intact < no changes >, Click Enter

With ATIH2010 select full backup, check the Back up sector-by-sector parameter the .tib files are bigger, but when I tried to recover this .tib file and the wizard ask where I want to recover I can not select the HDD and I have to cancel the operation

Also I have tried to convert the unallocated space to a partition, this way when the wizard prompts where I want to recover only in this way I can select the HDD, but this IS not what I want

What I am doing wrong, any help is more than welcome

Thank you
