ATIH 2010 or 2018 Clone a 1TB to 2TB Disk?

Thread needs solution

I have Windows 7 Professional and Acronis True Image Home 2010. ATIH will not clone from a 1TB internal drive (my C drive) to a 2TB internal drive, giving me a message to "...make sure your new hard drive is not smaller than your old one...". Is anyone else able to do this?

Can ATIH 2018 can perform this task?

Thanks.

Lincoln, welcome to these User Forums.

See topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this

How are you attempting to do this clone?
Are you using the ATI bootable Rescue media?
How is the target 2TB internal drive formatted?
What partition scheme is used on the drive?  Is this using GPT?

From the ATIH 2010 User Guide:

Support of dynamic/GPT disks (provided by separately purchased Acronis Plus Pack) – operations with dynamic/GPT disks expand the range of hard drive configurations supported by Acronis True Image Home. Dynamic disks offer greater flexibility for volume management and may provide benefits in computers with more than one hard drive. GUID Partition Table (GPT) is a new hard disk partitioning scheme providing advantages over the old MBR partitioning scheme. It was introduced as a part of the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) initiative.
