ATIH 2011 very slow backup to NAS

Thread needs solution

I have just upgraded from ATIH 2010 to ATIH 2011 and am finding that a backup to a ReadyNAS NV+ that used to take just a few hours is now taking nearly a day. Nothing else has changed apart from ATIH. Using a gigE network with a Cisco gigE switch. I used to get a throughput of 20-30MB/sec, now ATIH is only transferring at about 4MB/sec, a huge reduction in speed. Checked ReadyNAS and non ATIH transfers are sill fine.

ATIH 2011 is not the friendliest product when coming to backup to a NAS. Trying to find where toi put the authentication in proved very tricky. ATIH 2010 was a far easy product to use and setup backups.

I found that backing up to an external USB drive is also far slower with ATI 2011 than it was with ATI 2010. I don't think the slowdown is specific to NAS backups.

For me the latest ATI 2011 build doesn't work at all anymore with my NAS box. The initial RTM build worked, the update does not.

My backups have been taking 2-3 times longer after my free upgrade to 2011 (NSB issues!). There's a problem with the SnapAPI low-level drivers which is causing my PC to lock up completely after every backup for between 30-60 minutes. Acronis have provided me with a new build of the drivers (3.10.571) but the issue still remains so they now want me to enable logging on the drivers and send them the log files - not good :-(

It sounds like a retrograde!

Isn't fun being a beta tester for a large company on their released product? I'll wait--or look at other options.
