ATIH 2014 Premium - Keeps Asking to Activate but Already Activated

Thread needs solution

Did a backup and restore yesterday. Then - a pop-up said I needed to Activate my Acronis TIH 2014 Premium.

I know it was ALREADY activated but the message said I had 7 days in which to Activate. So I clicked on the Activate button. A message said something like "Thanks for Activating".

This morning I turned off my PC as I was going away and thought maybe a storm was coming. When I came back and turned on my PC a message popped-up AGAIN asking me to Activate. So I clicked Activate AGAIN and a message AGAIN thanked me for Activating.

What in the world is going on? Is Acronis trying to force me to Upgrade or something? I never-ever had such a problem in the past.

BTW ... I absolutely REFUSE to update because the newer versions do not have Try & Decide - a VERY important feature "to me". Also BTW ... my caps aren't for shouting but for Emphasis.

It seems everytime I turn off my PC or Reboot I get the message that I must Activate. Anybody else have this trouble or know what to do about it?

Thanks in advance!

Beware of ... "akshay ht".

Attached is a screenshot of the Private email message I received from "akshay ht " who wanted me to send him my License Key:

Double BEWARE!! regarding ... "akshay ht"

Since trying to rip me off by asking for my Acronis License Key to help me with an Activation problem -- "akshay ht" has now changed his/her name to "Sunflower" to cover up for their attempted crimnal act.

And I imagine now they will change their name to something else after reading this message EXPOSING their new name.

Hello Rickmon,

Thank you for your posting.
We took your warning into consideration and got in touch with Sunflower. As per the information received we do not see any abusive action, but willingness to help. But we also need to pay everyone's attention that posting private information is against forum Terms of Use, hence it should not be asked to post one's serial number (or any other personal info). We kindly request everyone to follow the rules in order to have productive and professional communication on the forum.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Olga,

you said: "As per the information received we do not see any abusive action ...".

I highly disagree with you.

First of all "akshay ht" (now changed to Sunflower) sent me a PRIVATE email and asked for my Serial Number. He did NOT ask me to post it on the Acronis Forum.

Then - AFTER I post a message WARNING other people about "akshay ht" - "akshay ht" changes his name to Sunflower. If He had nothing to hide - if he was trying to be helpful - why would he IMMEDIATELY change his name as soon as he got my reply to his private email message.

Olga - it seems you are trying to be POLITICALLY CORRECT and you are protecting the criminal so you don't offend them.

As an Administrator you should know that giving out one's Serial Key to Acronis True Image Home 2014 is NOT going to lead to a solution to the problem I was having.

"akshay ht" now "Sunflower" should be permanently banned from this discussion board. It is VERY EASY to see the intentions of what he was trying to get out of me.

If ""akshay ht" now "Sunflower" was REALLY trying to help me WHY didn't he post his request to me on the Forum? No - he PRIVATE emailed me so no one else would know what he was up to. He wanted to steal my Serial Key which he could then use as proof for some scheme to get into my account and then get hold of my credit card information.

Olga - please be very aware of HOW these "cyber criminals" operate.

Also - my all CAPS words are meant as Emphasis - not shouting.

I'm willing to bet that "akshay ht" now "Sunflower" has once again changed their name after you contacted him. He is guilty. Please get him off the forum.

Thank you, Olga.
