ATIH2009 will not restore but creates unscheduled task instead

Thread needs solution

True Image 2009. I'm trying to restore the "My Documents" files from a CD backup I made when the computer was running Windows XP. Now it is running Windows 7. In a nutshell, the program will not initiate a restore. Instead, it creates an unscheduled task (which it will not execute).

From the main program screen, I choose "Operation" and then "Restore."

1. Select a bckup from which to restore
"D:\MyDocuments.tib" is displayed at the bottom, next to the Browse button.
"MyDocuments" is displayed in the white window under "File Backup." I highlight it.

2. Restore backup data to:
I choose "New Location" (because the path is different in Windows 7).

3. Select new file destination
I highlight "My Documents" under C:\Users\User\Documents
(My name is User and I have Administrative permission.)

4. Select files and folders to be restored
Left column displays checkmarks at "Backup Archive" and "Local Disk (C:\)."
I expand the tree through "Documents and Settings," "Owner," (my name in XP), and "My Documents." It displays the names of the files and folders in the backup set.

5. "Congratulations! You have completed all required steps." etc.

6. Summary
Restore backup archive
From file ""
Restoration of: Files
Restore to C:\Users\User\Documents

I click "Proceed" The program takes me to the Tasks and events log, where it tells me I have created an unscheduled task:
Name: Restore
Status: Idle
Last Run Time: 12:00:00 AM
Owner: User-PC\User
I highlight the task and click "Start."
The D drive spins for a second and stops. The icon for Windows Explorer (or whatever they call it in Windows 7) turns gold and blinks. I click on it, and see an"Auto-Play" window for the D: drive with one option: "Open Folder to View Files."

OK. No comments so far. So does anyone have even a hint? For
example, is it certain that ATIH2009 will run, or at least restore, under
Windows 7?
