ATIH2011 "Backup Now" only works if task has no schedule

I have a monthly incremental backup on laptop. Sometimes I'm about to make some changes and want to do an on-the-fly update of the backup so I can rollback to my current state if needed. Unfortunately the only way to do it in ATIH2011 is manually from the boot disc, where I have to re-enter all the options for the backup. Clicking "Backup Now" from the main screen doesn't work; that button only works for tasks that have no schedule. Clicking "Backup Now" on any task that has a schedule causes weird UI errors. 

I am aware of the "Try and Decide" feature and I use it. Sometimes, though, you really want to update a scheduled backup on the fly. If you have a dual-boot system, the "try and decide" has to be turned off before you can boot the other OS.
