Authentication Settings issue-Not being remembered
My setup is the following:
Windows 7 64bit, we'll call PC1
I then have a share on another machine that runs
Windows 7 64bit we'll call PC2
This second machine is connected to a domain called beach
So we have
PC1 that isn't connected to the domain
And PC2 that is connected to the domain
PC1 isn't connected to the domain but it can authenticate with it because I've set DNS to allow this.
I then have setup backups on PC1 so they backup to a share on PC2.
I set Authentication Settings up like the following
beach\jondonnis
MYPASSWORD
I test Authentication and connection and it goes through fine.
If I run the backup there and then it's OK. But then if I shut down and wait till the next day for this same backup to run again, if fails because of the authentication. It's as if True Image is forgetting the domain credentials I'm giving. I wonder if this is also to do with the way Windows 7 seems to handle authentication as it seems PC1 needs to authenticate again with the domain when I reboot or the above fails, because I'm not logging into PC1 with the domain credentials I'm using for the backup.
PC2 is actually logged in using a local account as well not a domain account, even though it is a part of the domain.
Any fix for this? Surely True Image 2010 should of thought of this. I like True Image 10. But as that doesn't work with Windows 7 I'm stuck with screwed up 2010. True Image has been going down hill ever since after version 10. And support is next to useless.
Using the following build
Acronis True Image Home 2010 Build 7046
