Automated Restore

Thread needs solution

I have read through a couple of PDF and looked through the forum and KB but perhaps Im not using the correct keywords.

What Im looking for is an automated restore boot CD. Currently, to recover a system via an image stored on a network share I have to boot to the recovery CD and walk through the wizard. Is there anyway to customize the CD so that it already has the answers to all of the questions the wizard would ask me, IP, network path, partition, etc... So I can build a recovery CD unique to a system and if needed place the CD in a drive and boot and just watch the recovery with no intervention...???

Hello Britt,

Thank you for finding time to join us on Forum, we're glad to have you with us. I understand the importance of the question, and will be glad to address it.

Unfortunately as Acronis True Image Home is designed for data protection, it doesn't have an automated recovery system, and there's not possibility to update or customize the CD for that purpose.

The automatic recovery functionality is present in the Acronis Snap Deploy 3 for PCs, still it's doesn't have a functionality for scheduling backups, as it's purpose is to send an image of the system to different machines simultaneously. If you wish, you can test the solution, it's demo version is full functional, and allows deployment up to 5 machines. It differs a lot from the Home product, so you might want to check it's Installation Guide, and User Guide.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Hi Yana,

What do you think?

Within ATI if i start a sytem restore out of windows environmet the system reboots and automatically and starts the restore after reboot. Well would be great to know where Acronis saves the commands to do so :-)
