Hello Kostas,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Let me answer your question.

I regret to inform you that currently it is impossible to decrease writing speed of DVD/CD drives when making a backup with Acronis True Image. You can use any 3rd-party software to do this.

However, I have forwarded your concern to the responsible department, so probably this feature will be implemented in future versions of Acronis True Image.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

Thank you for your answer. Is there any way to split the back-up file in to 3 parts or more? If it is posible i can write the split file to a dvd disk. And one more. Can i make "restore back" from the split files? Sorry for my bad English. Thanks again.

Yes Kostas, I was going to suggest you do this anyway.

In backup options you will see Archive splitting. In there you can choose the maximum file size and there is an automatic choice available for DVD.

Then you can copy the files to DVD. To restore from them you would need to be able to copy them back to hard disk again.

Hello,

bin, you're absolutely correct, thanks for your help.

Kostas, let me add a few words. You can find the deatiled information about splitting in the Chapter 9.4.2.4 Archive splitting of the User's Guide. Also check the screen shot below:

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
