Background defragmentation vs. Nonstop Backup

Thread needs solution

I'm wondering how TrueImage 2010 handles the conflict between continuously backing up my drives and the Windows defragmentation service running in the background at the same time. In TI 11 which I'm using right now (under XP where I have to start defragmentation manually), I knew to do a new full backup after a defragmentation - what happens under Windows 7? (I'm skipping Vista and TI Home 2009)

Thanks,
Tim

Hello Tim,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

Acronis True Image is unable to perform successfully the backup during the defragmentation. You should disable this option if you want to perform the Nonstop backup. Or you can select the approrpiate scheduler for the defragmentation.

Please type "defrag" in the Start/Search box and choose "Disk Defragmenter".

Select Configure schedule button and uncheck the box "Run on a schedule" or specify the necessary time for its execution.

Thank you.
