Thread needs solution

I have backed up my entire disk including all partitions.. The resukting image has four versions all of the same size. I have not seen this before. Can you please advise why there are four versions and how to deal with them when  recovering.

Hello Krishen,

This is normal for a disk drive that is formatted with FAT32 file system which does not support file sizes greater than 4GB and therefore your backup image has been split into 4GB chunks to comply with the restrictions of your file system.

If you want to have your image in a single 13GB file size, then you need to format your drive as NTFS which supports files upto around 4TB IIRC.
