Backup from Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack fails.
Hello,
On my laptop, I backed up my Windows xp pro sp3 and succesfully restored it on my Compaq computer, which has Windows xp fam sp3.
However ,when I try to do the same process with another computer(AMD Athlon)also containing Windows xp fam sp3, the operation fails.
I used the same drivers for both operations, taken from the vendor's site.
What can be the reason of this failure when drivers are not involved?
Thanks.

No they are not identical. This is why I used True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack to do the job.
The drivers I used are those for the Motherboard and the Controller card.
As I said previously, I certainly used the good drivers as this operation worked fine for one of my computers.
I also tried to restore with drivers picked up by a software called Double Driver, which does the job most of the time.

Can you be more specific about the configuration of each machine? What happens on the machine where the restore fails? What errors do you get?

Source machine:PC Amd Athlon processor-windows xp fam sp3
Target machine.PC Compaq Intel processor-Windows xp fam sp3
When restore is over,I get this message ''Recover operation fails''.That's it.

Hello,
thomasjk, thanks for your help.
Romeo, let me assist you.
First of all, please make sure that you've used the latest build #7046 of Acronis True Image Home 2010 to restore your image.
You can also have a look at the restoration log file in Tasks&Logs to check what exactly caused the issue.
If you want us to investigate the issue, please gather AcronisInfo output on the target and destination PCs and submit a support request with the collected information.
Thank you.

Hi Ilya
You misunderstood me .I used Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack and not Acronis True Image Home 2010 ,as I'm restoring on dissimilar hardware.
Thanks for your intervention.

Hello Romeo!
Thank you for your comments.
Unfortunately without the information requested by Ilya we will not be able to localise the issue since there are several possible reasons for it.
PlusPack is actually an add-on, so it always has the similar build as the main product, thus Ilya ment that you need to check the program to be of 7046 build. Please accept our aplogies for the misunderstanding, we will make sure it won't happen again.
Please, as soon as you submit a support request, let us know its number - we would like to make sure it is handled in a proper way.
We will be looking forward for news from you!
Thank you in advance for cooperation!

Hello Romeo,
Please note that you're using an outdated build of the software. Please update to the latest one #7046 and try to restore the image once again. You can register your software on our web site and download the ISO image for Plus Pack to restore your archive.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

I installed version 7046 and run another restore. It failed again.
Attached is the log generated when attempting to restore with the vendor's drivers, i.e., the chipset and the hard drive controler drivers.
