backup and recovery option not available

Thread needs solution

Purchased 2014 a couple of months ago and have used it on a weekly basis since then. I back up to a Seagate slim drive since I have a couple of computers to back up. This week, when I plug in my slim drive and click on the Acronis 2014 on my desktop, I am asked (as usual) if Acronis is allowed to make changed to my computer. I say yes and wait for the Acronis page to come up. When it does, I now get a "how to" screen with all the correct tabs on top but I can't click on any of the tabs. I can watch the "how to" help screens but I can't do anything else. Extremely frustrating. What has suddenly gone wrong and how do I get back to being able to actually use this product? AAARRGGHH! I'm guessing it's something really easy that I 'm missing and I'm just so frustrated I can't see it. Help please.

Across the top row menu, click on the "backup & Recovery" option or try the "tools and utiliies" and ten retry the "Backup & Recovery" which is the normal open into for the program.
