Backup and restore over LAN

Thread needs solution

I'd like to run backup's over my LAN. I have a large server elsewhere in the building and gigabit ethernet. Sounds ideal.

However I have 2 issues:

1) When I backup over the network the backups don't validate. The same backup will validate on a USD drive.

2) When I use the boot CD to restore from total disc failure the loaded TI software does not see the network drive. This would be OK for recovery from the normal windows environment of course.

To resolve the first issue, which Acronis software are you using and which build? Do you get any errors?

Most likely the bootable media does not have the necessary drivers for your network card. I would recommend to download the latest bootable media from your Acronis web-account and see if it works.

If it still fails, please collect the following diagnostic information and contact support directly. We will be able to resolve this for you.
