backup contains duplicate folders, many missing folders

Using Acronis True Image Home 2009, build 9809

I have a data backup task scheduled to back up all the file type categories (e.g., documents, images, etc.). But I also selected many folders in the Documents and Settings folder (basically all users in the folder). The task creates and validates a full backup. But when I explore the backup, I see 2 big problems:

1. There are duplicates of just about every folder. So I see 4 copies of Application Data, 4 copies of Local Settings, 3 copies of Templates, etc. And they all seem to have the exact same things in them.

2. The backup seems to be just a small subset of what I actually chose to backup. For example, I selected 4 users in the Documents and Settings folder, but only 1 was selected.

Please help... I just cannot trust this tool with my backups as it is now.

For backing up purely data files (pics, music, documents etc.) I prefer to use Karen's Replicator. Others here do the same or use a similar program - not True Image. But I do use True Image for doing a backup of the entire hard drive.

If you keep your documents under the regular Docs and Settings folder location, and then you chose Documents and chose files under Documents and Settings, you could expect duplicates.

If you are logged in as one user, I think then, only that user's file are available and that might be th missing user files issue -- but I'm just guessing here but but might be something to check.
