Backup is corrupted so no new backup performed error 0x0004000D

Thread needs solution

I have Laptop running WIndows 7 64 bit

I have Acronis True Image 2013. I run a full backup weekly and incremental daily

I keep my backup on an external Seagate 1Tb USB 3.0 drive

All has been OK until now.

I get the message that the backup cannot complete because the back-up file is corrupt and the error code is 0x0004000D
I have validated the back up and get the same error

What is the best cure for this? How can I force the program to start a new full backup and use this for incremental thereafter?

Thanks

If the error is confirmed through validation, your backup is most certainly corrupted. It could be because one file have been moved, deleted or renamed, or it has been corrupted.

Consider your backup lost, and create new backup tasks: delete the existing backup tasks from the Acronis UI, delete manually all remaining TIB files from that task, and recreate new backup tasks.

It is best practice to create new backup, or backup chains when a new version comes in. Some users also recommend to do this with a new build.
