Backup Database

Thread needs solution

Updating backup database:
Updating online backups for account
The above lines are what I get when I check my log for details on my NORMAL partition backup. I don't do online backups and I don't want online backups and it seems that I can't get away from Acronis pushing this online everything at me. All I ever wanted to do was to do my normal partition backups when I upgraded to Acronis 2012 and what do I get? Forced online backups. I didn't and still don't know where or how an "Backup database ever got created. I certainly never did this, at leas not knowingly. I think Acronis is starting to become one of these software companies that are trying to force their customers to try their software without them saying yes.
Where and how do I get rid of this database and have my logs go back to just monitoring my Normal partition backups. Or is this "Database" part and parcel of the Acronis backup system?

I doubt Acronis would use a GMAIL account to store online backups, unless that is your gmail account listed. I would be more suspicious of a nasty having got onto your system.

If you don't intend to use OLB you can always disable the service in Windows Services. Unless you have qualified for the free (trial period) or paid for OLB, no OLB's will take place as you won't have paid for server space.

Hello julio99 and Colin,

Thank you for your posts and your help Colin.

julio99, could you please get back to me with the system report so that I can take a look at the program logs. We do not force online backup on anyone. I am very certain that after taking a look at the program logs we will be able to tell you exactly what is causing this issue.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
