Backup date was not found

Thread needs solution

As a follow-up to this thread on the Wilders forum http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=238281, I'm also having the problem of my backups succeeding with the error "Backup date was not found".

I'm using TI Home 2009 build 9770 on Windows 7 RC and am also using doing differential backups that are tricked into being full (one a week). The problem only started 3 weeks ago and there were no errors up to that point. On the Wilders thread it says the problem of this "incorrect message" should have been fixed in the build I'm using. Is that the case?

I've attached my last log file.

In some tests I ran recently on creating only Full images, all the backups were performed correctly and the Fulls were created, but that error was in every log that required a file to be deleted. In my example, I set the Full limit to 5. The first 5 tasks don't show this error, but every task run after that does. I was using build 9,796.

Hello DoomWolf,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/ | Acronis True Image Home 2009]]

These messages don't influence the software functionality, you may disagree them. The latest build is 9796, download it from your account and see if the issue persists.

Thanks for the answer Dmitry.

This brings me to my second point that I can't download build 9796. When I log in and go to my 'Regietered Products' page, the only build available to download is 9770:

Acronis True Image 2009 Home (United Kindom) 1 license(s)

Get All Serials

Build: #9770 (Release Notes) Size: 89.88 MB
Date: May 29, 2009

DownloadDownload

This has been the case ever since 9796 has been available. I see other people are using it, but how do I get this build?

Hello DoomWolf,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

I am sending the installation file to you via PMs.

Thank you.

Thanks, I've downloaded and installed build 9796. I'll see what happens next time the backup runs.

This issue is still persisting on the latest version. At least I know it doesn't cause any problems, but it is annoying to see all my backups marked as failed when they didn't.

I am having the same problem with weekly Data Backups and Email Backups saying they have "Completed successfully" though the Log of each one displays the Error message "Backup date was not found". I don't receive that message on the monthly Incremental Backup Archives. How can I be confident that I have valid Data Backups and Email Backups when Acronis is telling me there is an Error? Since each backup displays its own date, it can't be referring to that date. Is Acronis telling me it cannot find the date of the previous backup from which to begin the new backup? (I'm using TI Home 2009 build 9,796 on Windows Vista 64-bit.)

You can ignore that error, it's a bug that was never fixed in TI2009 but it doesn't affect the validity of the backups. The only way I found to fix it was to upgrade to TI2010 which I did when I installed Windows 7 Home Premium to replace the RC edition I was using when I started this thread.

How do I get build 9769? I am have the no date on backup files problem with True Image 2009, running Visa. Please help.

Hello all,

Richard, let me assist you.

First of all, please note that build #9769 is not the latest one for Acronis True Image Home 2009. You can download the latest build of the software the following way:

  1. Login to your account;

  2. Register your Acronis products at Products Registration - see Registering Acronis Products at the Website;

  3. Download the latest build from My Products & Downloads;

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
