Backup dates incorrect

Reference similar threads http://forum.acronis.com/forum/43299 and http://forum.acronis.com/forum/25492 where the date of the archive on the backup destination shows a modification date of 1/01/2000 or 1/01/2005.
Version of Acronis is 2012, Update 2, build 7119.
The system date is correct as is the date of the NAS system to where the backups are being copied. To the best of my knowledge, the backups are being created and validated correctly, however recovery would be an issue should the need arise.
