Backup Error: Failed to open backup

Thread needs solution

Just when I thought I had everything finally working with my backups I get an error this morning. The link the message gave me event code at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event code: 0x01E50001+0x01E5001F+0x01E50006+0x01E50015+0x01E5001A+0x000B041D+0x00040011+0x0000FFF0+0x80070002 says it has no information about this error available now.

Please help me figure out what is going on. Screen shots below.

I too upgraded to 2014 and backups were rockin' along just fine. I have had this message for two days in a row - completely frustrating. I checked and the USB drive is accessible for any operation I try EXCEPT Acronis. Then if I want to deal with a live human they want $20 and the installation is fewer than 10 days old! Hope we hear something.

If you upgraded to a new version, create new backup tasks: move your existing TIB files to another directory on the same disk, (optional:) hide this directory using Windows Explorer, delete the existing backup tasks from the Acronis UI, and recreate new backup tasks.

It is best practice to create new backup, or backup chains when a new version comes in. Some users also recommend to do this with a new build.

I did everything you recommend to create this backup. I got rid of all my old files and started fresh on January 27th. This error appeared with the new setup.
