Is a Backup in FileMode possible ?

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've a NAS which were sync every day file by file. Now I would backup my files from Notebook into this NAS-Folder but the NAS-Folder contains all pictures and the notebook only the last weeks. So I can't sync the complete folder - I would add the Notebook files into the NAS-Folder every day.

Is there a way to do this ?
I don't have seen any settings for sync in this way ?

And a filebackup will be saved in one backupfile !

Please help.

Thanks
Matthias

Matthias,

You can backup a file or a folder to a NAS but this would not be the same as using Sync. It is a safer way though as the files backed up are permanent unless you delete the backup tib file. For a files and folders backup you could have the task run every 5 minutes or something and have the task set to incremental as the type.

The only way to use Sync would be to drag all your dosucments into the Sync folder you have made. The problem with Sync is that, fiorst you would need to drag your dosucments into the Sync folder on your notebook and second, if you deleted the file on your NAS it would also delete the file on your notebook. A Files and Folder backup though allows you to 'explore' the tib file so you can always just drag a file from NAS back to your notebook. You can't drag a file from your notebook to the tib file though, only running a backup task will add files to your tib file.
