Backup has failed.

Thread needs solution

I have been backing up to a Western Digital My Cloud for several months with no problems. About a week ago, I started receiving the following error message (on two different PCs): The Backup has failed. Please close the application that may currently use the file: (My backup file name) I have not made any changes to my system that I am aware of. Can anybody help me?

When I back up files and folders the process stops with this message
Failed to back up file or folder '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy27\BTCloud\Downloads\Ludwig van Beethoven - Rondò alla ungherese, quasi un capriccio Op 129'

I an find no trace of the file on my PC and it isn't in BTCloud either. The message is the same each time I try except that the ShadowCopy number is different each time. When I list the VSSs the ShadowCopy number in the error message isn't there. Regedit doesn't find any record of the file (not by name, anyway) in the registry. Please can somebody tell me how to get rid of this error, in language a layman can understand.

I am completely confused now. I have been backing up to my Western Digital drive without a problem. A coule of days ago, I started getting the error message shown above, on two different PCs. Today the backup started working again. I am not aware of doing anything. I did reboot everything (power cycle) while having the problem. But after sitting all night with me doing nothing but having my PCs turned off, I applied power today and both PCs were backed up properly. I don't have any idea of what's going on.
