Backup help please

Thread needs solution

I haven't used this forum before and I don't know if I am usiing the correct procedure--But here goes.

I am running Windows XP (service pack 3) on my desk top PC.
For backup I have used Acronis 11 for a number of years and found it to be an excellent program when backing up to an external hard disc.

I have been informed that it is possible to isolate and open or copy individual files and/or folders such as “My Letters” and “My Documents” from the full backup contained on the hard disc.

However, I can find no mention of this in the working manual.

Can anyone advise me if and how this may be achieved?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tony

Yes. You can mount a .tib backup (should be a command to do so withing the program, not sure exactly what it is called in version 11). Another way is to locate the.tib backup archive from within Windows Explorer, then double-click it which should then open it in Windows Explorer. Something like that, anyway... it's been a while since I've done it, but that gives you the idea. Try those methods.

There are tutorials linked from the left margin of this forum, that are very helpful.
