Acronis True Image Home 2011 (build 5519) Problem

Problem
• Backup jobs not running

Symptoms
• Credential complaints in error logs
• “Open backup location” not finding existing location

Solution
• Run the scheduler patch
• After creating backup job and choosing to run later, click edit, then save
• Max permissions and run as admin on Acronis shortcut
• Delete and recreate backup locations
• Uninstall and use Acronis’ own cleaner to remove remnants
• Reboot a bunch of times
• Read the forums for hours
• Delete and recreate backup jobs
• Repeat all the above for days
• When problem intermittently recurs, repeat all of the above for weeks
