Backup Method create a new full backup help
I am running 2010 Build 7.046 on Win 7
On the backupwizardd under backup method I have chosen incrementalcheckedd create a new full after 4 backups and checked delete previous backup archives.
It will not redo the full back up even after 5 or 6 incremental backups. I thought this would do a full the first time then each week do incrementalal back up for 4 weeks then do a full and erase the other 5. (the first full and the incrementalls) What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Tom, As you are using version 2010, you basically have what you have. Any changes by Acronis would be very unexpected as 2012 is the current version.
As Pat has indicated, you should consider starting a new task pointing to a new storage folder and only time can tell the result. From your description, it sounds like you have your task setup as according to these examples--which is what I would recommend for the 2010 version. Editing a task has problems. You should create the a new task and create it with your desired options without any further editing.
If this solution does not work for you, then consider supplementing 2010 with the free CHAIN2GEN (C2G) options as listed in my signature below. C2G is a helper program for TIH. Its main function is to make sure a new full backup is run after x number of incrementals or differentials. If properly set up, this program does what it says it will do. I have used it extensively.

Thanks Pat and Grover for taking the time to answer.
Pat, I have not changed or edited the setup once I made the backup. I did go back in just in case and created a new one to test. Thanks again for the suggestion.
Grover, I am not sure what you mean by I have what I have with the 2010. I don't think I am asking the software to do something it cant or that 2012 does now. Just like the examples you placed in the 3 windows I have all those done. I also have all the same checked and set just like you do in window 3 so I should get a new full back up on the 5 time. (1st full, 4 increm and the 5th a full and deleting the previous ones right?)

Yes, you should get a new full after the 4th incremental--providing the program is working correctly. The 2010 version was not without its file creation issues. If this were setup via 2012, it would look something like this but adjust the number of incrementals (6 here) and the number of chains (4) here to your own choices.
