backup to NAS (Zyxel NSA325 v2) with mobile access to single files

Thread needs solution

Hi guys,
I daily backup (differential) my whole PC to a NAS Zyxel NSA325 v2. I'd really love to have access to single files within the latest backup image, to copy them to my smartphone when I'm not at home. I've got a lot of documents and other files I want to work on on the go. These files are spread over my whole PC due to the folder structure.

I don't want to use the Acronis Cloud for that because I already have my own NAS. So, is there any solution?
Thanks a lot

My suggestion for this would be since you can obviously remote into your NAS, create lets say a Work folder on the NAS, copy the files that you wish to work on to that folder and access them that way. If you attempt to do this from the backup file created by TI you will not be able to write the modified files back to the .tib backup file nor copy them as the .tib file has a Read Only attribute set.

If you have a number of different apps that you will modifying files for you may want to create a separate folder for each applications files. A nice touch would then be to sync the folders with the associated applications so that any modifications done to them would automatically update the files for such applications where they normally are kept.

I would use sync software like Goodsync or SyncbackSE and use webdav on the NAS to remotely access/sync the files. All this stuff is available with my Synology NAS. I also use the Synology Cloud Station (essentialy a box/dropbox like solution for this NAS). Synology also supports Google and OneDrive clouds among others, which can be integrated in the synchronization. Pretty powerful and flexible.

I don't know about your NAS though... but if it supports webdav remote access, then goodsync/syncbackSE are good solutions. They can detect changes either on the NAS or on the computer and instantly synchronize.

thanks for your replies. I thought it would be possible to avoid another syncronization since I already use Acronis.

I've got my backupsystem arranged to backup when I shutdown my PC. All I primarily want is to have access to my PC without having the PC acutally running. Since I've got all Data in the backupsystem It should be possible to have access to that system. So I can read Documents, copy files to my smartphone etc. It needn't to sync the way back. More important would be the access to everything in the backup data on my NAS.
On my PC I can have insight into every Acronis backup and restore data. So why not on my smartphone?

Of course, I could create a work folder as Enchantech described, but therefore I even could use dropbox much more easily.
