"Backup Now" does nothing anylonger for my set backups
I have a couple backups set and now when I hit the Backup Now button nothing happens. I can explore the backups just fine, but not take one. I have repaired TI but nothing changed.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply Scott. Yes it did work fine. I reinstalled it and loaded my snapshots and they are there but the backup Now button is not even showing up for some reason. I really hate to begin a new series of backups as I would rather just keep adding to what I have.

Donnie,
I understand what you are trying to get to. I recommend you start a new task. You may run into serious issues if you try to recreated the backup settings and schedule it.
In fact, I recommend that you copy(not move) the TIB files you want to keep for posterity to another directory, delete (not remove) the backups from the UI interface, delete any unnecessary leftover TIB files, and then rebuild your task. This is not a requirement, but this clean slate will bring you peace of mind.

Thanks Pat. I will do just that. A backup that may or may not work is not very comforting!
Thanks again!

Hi - sorry to tack onto an existing thread, but I have the exact same problem - however I don't want to start again as my backup file is 600GB and it took a very very long time to create from my notebook. Any ideas on fixing this without having to start from scratch please?

I never got it fixed even after reinstalling. I ended up just starting all over again (which like you I didn't want to do).
Sorry I can't help or provide any promising advice.
Sounds to me like software update is due!

Update
Potentially solved ???
My Acronis Scheduler in services was set to "Manual" not Automatic for some reason.

I fixed mine by reinstalling without uninstalling first. I think there was a repair option. It worked fine and the original backups were still usable.
Clearly there is something wrong with the current version which needs to be fixed.

Hello all,
Thank you for your posts and your help. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
I would really appreciate if you could get back to me with additional information. From what I can see in Mike's post, after performing a repair installation our program started working properly again. It could be that some of Acronis program components become corrupt.
If you experience the same issue could you try repair install and let me know if it helped or not? To perform repair installation, launch the program executable, select to install and in the next step select repair installation.
Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hey Anton,
I tried the repair option and that didn't help. I read the error code message and the article about it that mentioned the scheduler in "services" might be off (and it was). After turning it on it worked fine.
I don't run it on a schedule, so I don't know why that would cause Acronis to not work when I manually ran the whole program.
Thanks for looking into this.

Hello Donnie,
Thank you for replying.
The Acronis Scheduler service is still used for manual backups even though you did not schedule any. However, it is strange that it stops, could you send me this report please?
If you need additional help, please let me know.
Thank you.

Just had the same issue as DAG and the same solution. The Acronis task scheduler was disabled. The backup is now proceeding as I type. Glad I did not re-install or have to make up a new backup task and abandon my old one.

I also was experiencing that the "Backup now" button would not do anything. Checked the Acronis scheduler service to find that it had started (automatic) so I stopped then started the service and now the button works! Backup in progress. I will report back if problem reappears after a restart of the system.

Sometimes restarting the, machine (soft reboot) will clear the services or you can do it manually. Always worth a try when things start acting up.
