Backup options missing

Thread needs solution

Reinstalled TI Home 2014 v 6888 after reinstall of Win 7 Pro 64-bit OS. When I select Differential method there are options missing that were there before. Previously there were options on how many chains to keep, option to not delete first full backup, and one or two more that I can't recall. Now there is only one option - that is how many differentials to keep before another full backup is made. How do I get the original options back?

These are controlled or made available based on the selections made when the tyype of backup is selected as "custom".
Follow ALL the steps in the GH13 example and be sure and choose custom as the type in the first windows rather than choosing differential in the first window.

GH13. Create Custom Differential Backup Scheme w/auto cleanup. ...Keep Full plus 2 Diff per chain. Store/Keep 2 chains. Use whatever number best fits your needs.

For best success, start with a NEW task so set it correctly as the beginning before any backups accrue.
The new task name should differ from the old task name. Name assigned to the tib files will be whatever you select for the task name.
If you do not like your task name, it can be modified before you start using the task.

Renaming a 2015 task name can occur via selecting the task, and choosing "edit settings" and clicking the pencil icon beside the task name along the top of the display screen.

Thank you for the quick reply. I was able to correct the problem. Re-ran the install program which had a Repair option which I ran. I am now able to get the Differential options back. Now I have a another head ache. My previous backups show only the Recover option. Appears I have to reset all the items to be backed up. What a pain.
