Backup process will not start
I have used both Acronis the True Image 2009 and 2011 versions and have never had a problem with the backup starting for me.
I am trying to create a backup using true image 2015 on my windows 8.1 home (64 bit) computer and the build date of my software is 6525.
Why isn't the backup starting for me. I have tried doing just a basic full backup with validation and then clicking to start now and nothing happens, I have also tried clicking the down arrow after making the selection for full backup with validation and choosing the option later and then clicking the name of the backup at the top of the page and then selecting to backup now and still nothing is happening.
How do I get my backups to start when I want to create one or have created a schedule for backups?
It will sometimes start for me when I create a new backup, but most of the time it just never starts.
I have even scheduled backups of just the files and folders and after multiple attempts it created 4 backups of the files and folders and has not created another one since then. I was able to get it to work when I selected the option for every 2 hours for the files and folders, but after the first day - it has not made another backup.
I have never had a problem in the past with the other version or other machines in creating my backups. This is driving me nuts and I have been trying for the past 2 hours to create my first backup.
Any help would be so very much appreciated. This is extremely frustrating and I can not for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong that it will not start / create my backups.
Thank You

I don't have 8.1 so I can only suggest the steps I would do if I were in your shoes.
1. Uninstall 2015.
2. Run the 2015 cleanup utility (link below). Existing tib files will still remain.
3. Temporarily stop any Anti-virus program.
4. Re-install 2015 but use the Run As Administrator mode to start the install program.
Normally, you can right click on the install program and choose the option "Run as Administrator"
5. Use the install for all users option.
6. Once installation completed, reboot and restart 2015.
7. Recreate all new tasks. Use different or unique task names and point your new tasks to new destination sub-folders so
the target storage folders are empty.
8. Use one of these examples as a master for your new task schemes. Use the select "MY PC" as source to include all partitions in backup.
Backup scheme examples below:
GH11. Create Custom Full Only Backup Scheme.Keep 4 versions (chains). The 4 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs..
