"Backup Protection" option missing after initial backup?
It seems as though the "Backup Protection" option is no longer available when editing a job after the initial backup has run. I question the reasoning for this, and have 2 questions:
1 - Does that mean I need to delete and recreate my whole job if I want to change the password or adjust the encryption option?
2 - Since I can't see this option any longer, how can I find out what encryption type is being used for an existing backup job?
Thanks

Thanks for confirming what I thought. Seems very strange that this option simply disappears after the job runs. If nothing else I think it should be ghosted so you can at least see the existing encryption setting. Or, at lease idenitify the existing encrytion type in the log.
I envision a scenario where someone might forget what encryption type they chose or want to confirm they are using a certain encryption type.
I have to say, somebody mentioned that True Image Home 2011 was really poor compared to Acronis' other offerings, and I have to agree. Other than this problem, the mail notifications options are extremely limiting (can't specify FROM address, can't turn off authentication). Also took me about 15 minutes to find the log under the HELP menu (???).
Thanks again. If anyone knows of a way to confirm the existing encryption setting I'd love to hear it.

Try this.
Go to your Scripts folder and open the specific task that created the backup. Open with Notepad and see if the setting is there. My might be able to use the Notepad "edit-find" option and search for "enc" etc.

Thanks, it was there.
I hope they'll fix this in a future update.

You might want to include your suggestion in the "wish list" as Acronis does not read all posts.
